- If already vaccinated
- 30 days
- Quarantine
- None for pets that meet the rules
- Last checked

Steps, in order
- Start nowMicrochip (ISO 11784/11785), implanted before or at the same visit as the rabies vaccine
- With or after the microchipRabies vaccine plus core vaccines (dogs: distemper, hepatitis, parvo, lepto; cats: panleukopenia), then wait 21 days
- 21 days after the rabies vaccineEarliest day the 21-day rabies wait is over
- 30 days before travelEmail the import permit request to the Animal Quarantine Station at your arrival airport (7 to 60 days before departure, takes 5 to 7 business days)
- 10 days before travelOfficial Health Certificate, original with USDA ink stamp: USDA-accredited vet fills it in, APHIS endorses it (about $101). Must be within 10 days before arrival Official page
- On arrivalPay 500 baht per animal at the quarantine station on arrival
Already vaccinated? Core vaccines also need the 21-day wait, so the plan keeps it.

Plan this tripGood to know
- Thailand is a high-risk rabies country for the CDC: bringing a dog back to the USA later is much harder.
