Every step, every date, before your pet flies
Choose a route, your pet and a travel date. Tailtrip lays out the microchip, rabies shot, blood test, health certificate and quarantine as a dated plan. Every rule links to the official source.
Routes we have checked
Minimum preparation time for a pet starting from scratch. Open a route to see every step and its source.
How we check
Official sources only
Each rule links to the government page it comes from. No source, no rule.
Dated
Every route shows the day we last checked it. Last full check: 3 November 2026.
Honest about doubt
When sources disagree or only secondary sources exist, the plan says so and tells you what to confirm.
Questions
Where do the rules come from?
From government pages: USDA APHIS and the CDC in the US, GOV.UK, the European Commission, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the agriculture or quarantine authorities of each destination. Every rule in a plan links to its source, and each route shows when we last checked it. If a source is secondary or sources disagree, the plan says so.
What does the $29 personal plan include?
A person checks your exact route, your pet and your airline, writes the document list with dates for your trip, and emails you before each deadline. Payments are not live yet: while we launch, we build the plan for free for people who leave an email.
Does a plan guarantee my pet will be accepted?
No. Your vet, the airline and the border authority have the final word. Tailtrip lowers the risk of a missed step or a wrong date, but it does not replace them. Check the official links in your plan before you book and again before you fly.
Do you store my trip or my pet details?
No. The planner runs in your browser: the route, pet and dates stay on your device. We count anonymous events such as "plan shown" and keep your email only if you leave it. Details are on the privacy page. Read the privacy page.
Can my pet fly in the cabin or as checked baggage?
That depends on the airline, not only on the country. Some routes, such as flights into Great Britain, require pets to fly as cargo on approved routes. Ask your airline about cabin, checked baggage and cargo before you book.
